Good. No dust jacket. There is wear to the edges and corners of the covers and the cloth edges of the spine are worn down. Pencil marks, stains on front and rear inside cover spreading from the top of the hinge and moving outward 3cm and downward 7cm. 1st edition with all points of issue. 310 p. col. front., illus., plates (part col. ) 21 cm. Includes: Illustrations, Plates. Audience: Children/juvenile. P. 118 is labeled "Chapter VI" when it should be "Chapter VII. " There is a red bowing hobbit emblazoned on the cover, and black line drawing printed on the title page. Said hobbit's hat is on the spine in red. The Wilderland map, which should be the rear inside cover, is in the front and vice versa for Thror's Map. Illustrated lining-papers. Price:
